SUMMARY:Goalball Invitational at Kentucky School for the Blind
DESCRIPTION:The day will begin with a Goalball 101 session covering the rules\, terminology\, and techniques of the game. Then guests will be invited to try the sport for themselves. The students will continue their tournament at 1:00 PM. \nCheer on Kentucky School for the Blind Wildcats as they compete against teams from Ohio\, Indiana\, Arkansas & Illinois. The games will continue until 5:00 PM but feel free to stay as long as you would like. \nWHERE: The event will be held at the Kentucky School for the Blind School Gym. The address is 1867 Frankfort Avenue Louisville KY 40206 \nPARKING: is available on Frankfort Avenue\, Haldeman Avenue\, and the American Printing House Parking lot off of Frankfort Avenue. \nThere will be concessions and t-shirts for sale\, as well as Gringo’s food truck to purchase food from. \nBuy tickets online ahead or time or at the door!

Big Spring Country Club was established in 1926\, and is a traditional layout with tree lined fairways\, and strategically placed fairway and greenside bunkers. \nPlaying over 7\,100 yards from the back tees\, the course itself features zoysia fairways and tees and bentgrass greens. The layout requires careful attention with placement of tee shots\, with a premium placed on accuracy and putting the ball in the fairway for approach shots.  The green complexes require precise irons shots\, as the greens are undulating\, and have slopes that feed the ball to different green compartments.  These immaculate greens provide for hole locations that require the ball to be correctly placed on the right level in order for golfers to have reasonable attempts at the putts they face. \nIn 2004\, the golf course experienced a complete redesign and renovation by renowned Golf Course Architect Rees Jones and the results provide a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.  In past Golf Digest “Best in State Rankings”  Big Spring has ranked as high as the #2 golf course in the state of Kentucky. \n\nINTERESTED IN SPONSORSHIPS?\nPlease reach out to Tami Fitzgerald for questions on sponsorships!
